The CWSC held its annual Town Hall Meeting May 31 with a great turnout and great speakers! This event was held to educate the public and landowners in and around Leavenworth and the surrounding areas on fuels reduction projects in the area. Presenters included Chelan County Fire District 3, Cascadia Conservation District, The City of Leavenworth, Chelan County Natural Resources Department, Chelan County PUD and the Wa. Department of Natural Resources as well as the US Forest Service. Chelan County Commissioner Bob Bugert was also in attendance. CWSC Director, Barbara Carrillo, and CWSC Steering Committee Chair kicked off the event and introduced speakers, and took questions from the audience. A post meeting social hour was also part of the festivities! Thank you everyone who attended! We will see you next year!
