Preparing For Wildfire
It is important that we understand the dangers that exist around us and take the appropriate actions to protect ourselves and our communities BEFORE a wildfire starts.
In an effort to help Chumstick and Leavenworth residents prepare for wildfires, the Chumstick Wildfire Stewardship Coalition has taken a lead role in the development of both individual community and county-wide wildfire protection plans. When funding permits, we also offer free wild fire risk assessments to interested landowners, participate in wildfire education & outreach efforts and events, and provide support to neighborhoods seeking Firewise Communities/USA recognition.
