Wildfire. Why we are high risk and what can we do?
Paul Hessburg’s research focuses on the landscape and disturbance ecology of historical, current, and future western forests; resilience mechanisms of large landscapes; decision support for environmental analysis and planning; and landscape restoration. Hessburg received his PhD. in botany and plant pathology from Oregon State University and lives locally here in the Wenatchee Valley.
There will be a question and answer session with a panel of local wildfire mitigation experts. This moderated panel discussion will include topics like prescribed fire, woody debris removal, what landowners can do on their property, and more.
